The right outfits can completely transform your photos. Instead of everyone matching perfectly, I always encourage families to coordinate with one another while choosing clothing that feels comfortable and reflects their personalities.
Here are my favorite tips for creating timeless fall family photos you’ll love for years to come.
Start with Mom’s Outfit First
I always recommend choosing Mom’s outfit before anyone else’s.
When Mom feels confident and comfortable, it sets the tone for the entire session. After finding an outfit you love, build everyone else’s clothing around it.
Think of everyone else’s outfits as supporting pieces instead of trying to match exactly.
Choose Coordinating Colors Instead of Matching
Gone are the days of everyone wearing identical white shirts and blue jeans.
Instead, choose a color palette that complements one another.
